12 points Driving Ban
With the WHO traditions threads getting reminiscing about the old days of WHO it made me remember what fun the threads asking for advice were.

Some poor twonk would have an issue and ask on behalf of their ‘friend’ hoping for a little gem but mainly getting royally rinsed.

Anyway, changing the subject. A friend of mine just totted up 12 points.

I’m sure advice will be ‘slow down’, ‘get someone else to take your points’ and other helpful suggestions.

However my friend believes it is fairly easy to get a court to allow you to continue driving if you prove not driving will cause you undue problems.

Has anyone had experience of this or have a similarly stupid friend. Any solicitors that deal with it would be helpful too.

Anyway, feel free to continue the WHO advice thread tradition

Your friend is worse than a nazi

I think you can only get off if they have dependents and it can be shown that by losing your license the dependents will suffer

He needs to quickly set up a charity and then say not being able to drive will affect his charitable work.

Were the points accrued over a period of time or in 1 go.

Re: 12 points Driving Ban
A friend of mine who had a son, accrued 15 points on his licence,

Another friend of mine advised him to say that as his mother was a single parent she would struggle if he was banned as he would not be able to work and contribute and his younger brother would also suffer. I told my friend that he would be wasting his time sending a letter to court with 15 points for speeding was disgraceful and would not wash with any court

Anyway i went to court with my friend and his son and said letter,(no legal representation) the bench retired for 10 minutes in discussing the case and returned to say that this cavalier attitude to speeding had to stop he would not be banned he would be fined £650 and if he ever got any more points he would be banned with immediate effect

My friend's son as far as I am aware has not had anymore points since

My brother was caught speeding and 3 points added to his licence so it totaled 12 points and a ban, the day before the first lot of 3 points were due to expire.

Now that's what I call GUTTED.

This will teach you for driving round with your willy hanging out without your seatbelt on whilst using your phone.

I won't lie though, that's quite a magnificent piece of multitasking.

I think I might have got flashed yesterday on the M25, 5.30 in the morning. I was doing about 75 and a camera on the opposite carriageway flashed as I was approaching, may have been a car on that side of the road but will wait for the postman to drop the bad news through the door
